We just tried Butterscotch Swirl Brownies from the Betty Crocker Cookies & Bars Magazine. Awesome! I see so many different possibilities for these brownies. At Christmas you could use the red and green chips mix them up individually and swirl them into the top. It would be so festive! Okay, now for the recipe:
Butterscotch Swirl Brownies
Makes: 18 brownies
1/2 c. butterscotch chips
1 small package (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs, divided
1 box (1 lb. 5.2 oz.) Betty Crocker Supreme Chocolate Chunk brownie mix
3 T. water
1/2 c. oil
In small microwavable bowl, microwave chips uncovered on high for 30 seconds, stir until chips are melted. Stir in cream cheese, sugar and 1 egg until smooth; set aside. In a medium bowl, stir brownie mix, water, oil and 2 eggs about 50 strokes or until well blended. Spread 2/3 of the batter in a greased (bottom only) 13 x 9 pan. Spread butterscotch mixture over batter in pan. Drop remaining batter by tablespoonfuls over butterscotch mixture; swirl lightly with spatula for marbled design. Bake 30-35 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely.

I always have Betty Crocker with Hershey's on hand because it is so easy. They always turn out great when you don't have the time to make them from scratch. This is a great variation when the crowd gets tired of the pure chocolate!
I don't have a blog, so here's my recipe.
Brownie Surprise
Make the Betty Crocker brownies per the package instuctions. Cut up into equal sized squares. How big the squares are depends on your own preferences.
Now in a bowl mix together equal amounts of already made store bought Fudge Frosting, Cherry Frosting and also Marshmallow Creme.
I usually use 1 to 1&1/2 cup of each. Blend together throughly.
On one square of brownie gently spread on the frosting blend.
Next if desired sprinkle on some shredded coconut.
Top the brownie with another equal sized brownie.
The surprise is the brownies taste a little like chocolate covered cherries if you don't use the coconut, and it you do it tastes a little like a candy called Cherry Mash.
I try to make the brownie squares small, but not so small they fall apart or can't handle some of the frosting be spread across the top of one of them.
Do not make the brownies cake like if the package gives you both options. Always make the brownies in the traditional chewier thinner method for this easy recipe.
After you frost and stack the brownie square you could cut it into thinner slices if desired.

I add peanut butter chips to the mix!! They are so yummy!! And easy! I use a little over half a bag because I LOVE peanut butter! Served with a scoop of ice cream and its really yummy!

Yum! I'd like one of those now!
I don't have an exact recipe but.. you bake brownies in cupcake pans, then sprinkle chocolate chips and butterscotch chips on top and drizzle with sweetened condensed milk.

I don't have an exact recipe but I always have chopped nuts stored in my refrigerator to add to brownies as well as milk chocolate chips that I sprinkle over the top before baking.
Boxed brownie mixes are the best! I don't usually do anything too formal, I just jazz it up with chocolate chips, nuts and/or chopped peanut butter cups. Yummy...
I just do simple changes like add chocolate chips of different flavors. I have never tried to totally spruce up brownies. I will have to try this it sounds good.
this isn't exactly fancy but sometimes around the holidays we crumbled peppermint into brown mix - it gives it a minty taste and a bit of a crumbly texture :)
I always have brownie mix on hand and my family goes through them FAST, so I make them a little healthier sometimes by a) substituting plain nonfat yogurt and ground flaxseed meal for the oil; b) using egg substitutes; and c) adding toasted chopped walnuts. Of course I often add chocolate chips too so that cancels out some healthy... : ) belauvibes (at) yahoo (dot) com

I'm sorry, but I absolutely refuse to buy brownie mix and use it as part of a recipe. It is NOT difficult, time-consuming, or ingredient intensive to make brownies from scratch, so why pay the money they charge for mixes if you're going to add your own stuff anyway? HOWEVER, if my daughter decides she wants to make brownies, I'll buy a store brand mix and she'll put 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips in it. That makes them taste as good as homemade.
Mix brownies as usual. Spread half in your baking dish and sprinkle with miniature marshmallows and nuts (the amount is up to you). Then cover with the remaining brownie mixture and bake. Yummy.
Any box mix with some Hershey's syrup dumped in - then ice cream and hot fudge on top when it is warm! YUM.
